Happy Halloween

I love love love Halloween. I think that it is my most favorite holiday, as there is no pressure. No gifts, no worries about which family to visit, no stress, just plain old fun, all for the kids.

Tea is a snow princess this year and Crackers is a dragon. He has been telling people that he is a green Care Bear. He wanted to be a Care Bear and we couldn't find a costume in his size, so we bought the dragon one. He seems to be over it.

We went to the Fall Festival at Tea's preschool this morning. The whole family. We kept Dad up a bit past his bedtime, but it was worth it. I volunteered to help with crafts and Dad stayed with the kids as they went through the party. Crackers doesn't go to the preschool yet, but siblings are invited, as long as parents stay with them. The kids all paraded in costume, around the school, through the pastoral offices and through the elementary school. There is a public elementary school across the street and those kids stood by the fence and watched all of the little ones go by. The little kids loved it!

We'll have a fast, early dinner tonight, hit a few houses in our neighborhood and then head over to my parents' house and hit a few houses there. My parents live in the house that my sister and I grew up in, and a lot of the neighbors are still there. It is fun to take our kids back so that the neighbors can see them.

Enjoy your treats and I hope that you don't get any tricks!

First Post

OK, so I am going to give this a try. It may not be pretty, it may not be earth shattering, but it will be mine!

I plan on posting pics of the kids, rubber stamp ideas and whatever else floats my boat that day. My goal is to post once a week until I get used to this and then go from there.

Welcome along for the ride and I hope you enjoy.
